Faction types
In Dygamic there are a few different faction types that you can choose from. These range from nations to pirates, and they will decide certain things like what your faction can do, how big you can build up your fleet, and how many bases you can build.
During the faction creation process, you need to specify which faction type your faction will be.
The rules for the nation faction type are true for every faction type, unless a specific exception is made.
It is illegal to make new factions just to circumvent the structure and ship count limits, if you are found doing this the new faction will be deleted and a 1 week ban will be given to both the new faction and the original faction.
Nations
Nations are the standard faction type for everyone. They can build the largest fleets and the most bases, but they are limited in the wars they can start.
Rules
Nations are the most limited out of all the factions, and thus have the largest set of rules they have to abide by.
- Nations need at least 5 members.
- If at any point a nation drops below 5 members, they will be demoted to “fallen nation”, and an admin will inspect their current structures and fleets. They will keep what they currently have, but can only build new structures and ships up to the limit of a city state.
- Nations need to declare war to attack other nations, city states or PMC's.
- A war declaration on PMC's does not need a casus belli.

City States
City states are factions that are limited in scope, but can add a lot of flavor to the world they reside in.
Rules
City states are similar to factions, but they have a few additional rules since they are meant to be small players.
- City states can have less than 5 members.
- City states need at least 2 members.
- City states cannot declare war on nations.
- In order for a city state to fight nations, they need to ally themselves with another nation which can declare a war for them.
