Naval Power systems
Ships can use one of the 2 main methods of power generation on their ships, each with their own pros and cons.
Fuel Blocks
All vanilla and other hydrogen power based generators now use Fuel Blocks instead. These can be created from ice like you would produce hydrogen before albeit at reduced rates and only in your base. Ships can fit an “Emergency Fuel Convertor” to produce small quantities of fuel blocks out at sea however this won't produce to fully power a ship and its weapon systems.
Name | Input Fuel | Max per min | Power output(MW) | Size (w-h-l) |
---|---|---|---|---|
Large Hydrogen Engine | Fuel Blocks | TBA | 10 | 1x1x2 |
Extended Hydrogen Engine | Fuel Blocks | TBA | 30 | 1x1x5 |
XL Hydrogen Engine | Fuel Blocks | TBA | 320 | 3x3x6 |
XXL Hydrogen Engine | Fuel Blocks | TBA | 1600 | 5x5x10 |
Uranium
Reactors can produce a massive amount of power however to fuel them you require a rare resource.
Name | Input Fuel | Max Fuel per Min | Power output(MW) | Size |
---|---|---|---|---|
Small Vanilla Reactor | Uranium | 0.25 | 15 | 1x1x1 |
Large Vanilla Reactor | Uranium | 5 | 300 | 3x3x3 |
Naval Reactor | Enriched Uranium | 0.58 | 700 | 3x3x6 |
