Starter Guide

In order to start your adventure on Dygamic's naval server, you will first need to make or join a faction. This is needed in order to make peace with the Dygamic faction so you can spawn a starter boat.

When you're in a faction and accepted peace from the Dygamic faction, you need to look at the map and find an unclaimed piece of land. Once you've found where you want to settle, you look up the nearest trade zone and spawn there. Somewhere on the docks there will be a button which spawns a starter boat for 5,000 SC. You need to press this button twice. This boat can take you where you want to go, but it will need to be deconstructed once you arrive there, so don't get too attached.

In order to get the GPS point of where you want to go, use the command “!territory getpoints (name)” and start heading that way. If the name doesn't pop up, ping DarkXeRoX so it can be fixed. In order to travel faster, bind the helm's supercruise on/off on the toolbar, and also bind the main cockpit on/off on the toolbar. Stop completely, turn on supercruise, start moving at maximum speed, then turn on main cockpit and press W a couple times until the speed setting menu on the bottom left of the screen reads full in green. You should now be going at around 100 m/s. You will be able to make course adjustments, but your speed will temporarily be reduced.

Once you've arrived where you want to be, it is advised to start by scrapping a tiny bit of the ship's superstructure and build a small dock to attach the starter boat to with magnetic plates so you can scrap it without it sinking during the process. Make sure to rename the dock's grid name and place an outpost, fort, or main base core on it! Make sure to transfer the survival kit located in your starter ship to your newly framed up docks, so you can spawn at your newly founded base. For power, initially a wind turbine will do fine.

The blocks containing the most valuable components on the starter ship are as follows:

  • Helm and consoles
  • Engines
  • Conveyors
  • Cargo Containers
  • Doors
  • Thrusters
  • Arrestor Cable Endpoints
  • Truss blocks
  • Heavy Armor Blocks (Located in the keel)

These blocks will have rare components like motors, computers and metal grids. Once you've collected enough of these, build a large cargo container to put all components in while you continue to scrap the ship. Note that the fuel blocks contained in the ship can be a useful source of power, save them if possible!

You should now have enough components to build a basic assembler, this assembler can help you build fort, main base, corvette, and frigate cores, so it's useful to keep it around. If you find it's outlived its usefulness, you can scrap it in order to make a full assembler. It is advised to deconstruct motors and metal grids so you have the option to make power cells for batteries, and detector components for ore detectors. The most precious resource early on is nickel, so don't use it unless strictly necessary!

Once you have done all the previous steps, you should be able to make your first resource pylon and start extracting stone or ores. Throw these into a basic refinery and you'll have started out, and from here on you can snowball into larger and larger structures.
